Hi,

I'm moving to Westchase area, Houston to start working in a new job and would like to know more about the area.
Could someone provide some information on the crime or safety in the area?
How about the public transportation? Is it safe to use?

Thanks for the information...

It might be a good idea to move north of Westheimer. The commute would not be bad at all. Westchase does have high crime, due to the heavy concentration of apartments. That's too many apartment managers that you have to trust to set high standards - and they are being pressured by their upper management to lease apartments even if they have to lower standards. When that happens, there's a domino effect and crime rises.

walnut bend and briargrove park are good neighborhoods in the area.
Public transportation is safe but not very good in Houston. I do think Westchase has a little bus but i dont know where it goes or when. check thier website.
