How much to install the Door bell Intercom and where (cost, build)

Hi,

We are buying a new home and our builder doesn't have the option that to install the Door bell intercom system and we would like to have one. If someone rings our doorbell we could see it from the monitor inside our house. Where could we get that?

These are hard to beat. The old ones with brass tubes are the best. The aluminum tubes do not sound as nice. They do come with a camera system from one company, but it was over $1000. The one pictured is round $500 - $800.

Coldjensens: No, we are not rich at all, but would like to have some security system at home so we will feel safe. Do you know any company will do it? and how much the total would cost including the wire, labor, and the product?

For a camera system, just put in wireless yourself. They are not terribly expensive. You can get a basic system for about $300 or less if you run it through a computer.
