Donna, take your pics. and go to your local HI center and speak to a Painting Specialist who will help you free of charge. I totally agree that the gray/blue won't work with your warm floor. Your cabinets are very nice I would also change the hardware. My kitchen and joining LR are in the process of being remodeled, I have Honey Spice Hickory cabinets with Pewter hardware, Pewter outlet covers. The walls have been Faux painted a light creamy Italian Tuscan Sienna, contrasting Sienna Tile Backsplash, light Pine/Maple floor planking put up on the kitchen ceiling to cover the pop corn painted ceiling. Laminated Grey/Slate floor. Appliances are black/stainless. The LR is still in process, the old mantle was torn down and in its place are shades of brown man made rock mantle going 8' up the wall surrounding the fireplace. White Crown Molding with two different shades of Taupe, the lighter one over the top of the Crown Molding wall going up 18' wall, the darker one (1 shade darker) from the bottom of the CM to the white trim. We picked out a rustic, Tuscan weathered Laminate floor that compliments both rooms.
You have had a lot of good suggestions here from people obviously in the design business, start with your walls complementing your floors and go on from there. Good luck and have fun.
