Question to psurangers11 and wadejay26. I do remember 2012 and Rangers losing it to Devils who lost to Kings 4 games to 2. But 2014 Rangers are not 2012 Devils by a long shot. Actually I was sure today watching Kings - Hawks game - Kings are in. Now it's game 7 - it could go either way so the question is - would you rather play Kings or Hawks?

I have been asked this by many of my friends and I can't really say one or the other. Both western teams are great skating and scoring teams. The Rangers speed caught the east by surprise. That won't happen out west. I suppose if i have to answer, the Kings, only because if the Hawks win they will be on a winning streak. I am excited to see both goalies giving up some goals. Maybe even Rick Nash can score a goal. The Rangers need to play their game and not worry about the opponent. They need to win their home games and try to win one on the road. Doesn't matter if it is game 1, 2, 5 or 7. Just need 1 (and win their home games).

Always laugh when people say this about home games in the NHL. Home game mean little to nothing .. In fact take a look closely and you'll see away teams win more often than home teams.

Not sure I understand your point. Are you saying that if the Rangers win their home games and win 1 on the road, they won't win the cup? Or are you saying the visiting team will win every game? I guess the Kings can celebrate a victory without showing up for game 7.
If you read my post, I never said the Rangers will win their home games just because they are home.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Hawks are down to 10-12% in latest polls. That's how meaningful polls are.

Your statement in itself is a fact..not disputing that at all. Just commenting that home ice in the playoffs in the NHL means little. To say just steal one on the road and win em all at home is not a realistic option. Both these teams play better on the road. The Kings won 3 straight game sevens on the road! Home ice...LOL....
