Most of the broadcasters on Versus seem to know nothing about the sport. No fundamentals, just the obvious... Kinda like somebody watching the sport for the first time who only gets excited when a goal is scored, or when a fight happens...Im going to stick to the local station, thank you...
Ok..this isn't exactly on-topic but hopefully someone can help me out!!! We're about to get AT&T's new Uverse service here and we're thinking about switching over. Here's the problem, I can't get Center Ice with it!!!!!! Do any of you know how many games are usually blacked out of the Fox Sports channels out of market??? We picked that package up at the end of the season last year and found out that at least ALL of the playoff games were blacked out because we were out of market. If it's like that the entire season, I may stick with DirecTV so I can get Center Ice back this season.
I miss the days when there were hockey games on almost every night between ESPN and ESPN2. I really miss the nights when two games were aired. We don't get Versus on our cable package. Yeah Center Ice isn't real expensive but with gas/food prices being high just can't do it. Plus we'd have to get a cable box which our cable compay tacks on extra to have. I had heard rumors the NHL was thinking of going back to ESPN but didn't realize the Vs deal is for three more years (posted earlier in the thread). We get Flyers and Penguins games but I enjoy watching all the teams and we don't get to see much of the west coast teams.
