When SportsCenter started at 6pm, there was no mention of the Blackhawks victory until 6:38pm??? A Stanley Cup Series Win is not mentioned until 6:38pm? You can't tell me someone behind the scenes at ESPN was not pissed for the Blackhawks to be mentioned almost 40 mins after the start the show.

Then there were questions like

Did the Flyers start the wrong goldie?

The pettiness makes me laugh-lol

I didn't watch that show but its not unusual for sports shows to cover the other 3 major sports first ? Hockey always seems to come last in coverage as it has the smallest tv audience. I don't think its a Flyers conspiracy within ESPN against the Hawks....but, if it is.....maybe the guy the grassy knoll is in on it too ?

It was mentioned a couple of years ago that a lot of people behind the scenes at ESPN are from the Philly, South Jersey and Delaware area. I think today it was confirmed

Mentioned ? By who ? When ? Where ? Geeze if you want some credibility to what you post hows about a little evidence to provide a foundation for your view rather than just an "I think" ?

I can't believe I'm going to agree with FlyersFan here, but please remove the tin foil hat.

Ever since ESPN and the NHL parted company, ESPN has deliberately placed NHL hockey at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to any coverage (unless there is some type of scandal).

ESPN has staff and behind the scenes electricians and engineers placed all over the USA. A neighbor of mine works for ESPN...in Pittsburgh. Another co-worker of his keeps an ESPN 18-wheeler parked in his driveway.

I'm surprised the NHL was even mentioned that early.

Exactly. After ESPN is finished with its love affair with the NBA, the Red Sox, the Yankees, and Tiger Woods (usually in that order), then just maybe they'll think about getting around to mentioning the fact that some team or another -- you'd have to remind them who was playing again -- won the Stanley Cup.

This thread proves what a buffoon the OP is.

The Stanley Cup was one of the lead stories on Sportscenter yesterday.
