Yes, I almost forgot SE Ontario, Toronto Metro having many people. A Second team there would do well. Build a rink right in between Hamilton, and Kitchener. Call it the Ontario Horseshoes after the Golden Horseshoe. Or the fighting Senecas, or Loyalists.

I'm not sure Cleveland/Cincy can support more pro teams right now.
Maybe I can let go of Cleveland getting a franchise. But they cannot be called "Ontario". I have an objection to that. Do what was done for New York. Two teams share the same city name, the NY Islanders and the NY Rangers. How about the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Polar Bears.

I actually think a second Toronto team might be viable, but try getting that past their owners and those who look to lose $$$ of such a franchise.

I think it would certainly be viable. The Leafs don't want it because it will cut into their monopoly on hockey in the area and they might actually be held accountable for their failures on ice.

However, the new team would still be the "little brother," much like the Isles and Devils are to the Rangers.

It would be absolutely hilarious if they called themselves the Maple Leaves and wore red and white with two maple leafs as their logo.

Nah, there are lots of people living outside and away from Toronto in SE Ontario. Like why in the NYC Metro you have a team based on Long Island (not anymore), and New Jersey. Or in LA metro, you can have a team in Anaheim.

Maybe a team could be placed in Mississauga.
