I think Briere and/or Gagne has to be the odd man out. Carter's still young and when healthy is one of the game's best. They're both older and injury prone. I'd imagine Briere is at prime value right now. The only problem is I can't imagine too many big name goalies are on the market.

Good point. How many good goalies are available and can the Flyers sign one and stay under the salary cap? I lost track of Biron but did the Flyers really upgrade this past year with Emery, etc?
Not positive but I think they have a club option for Emery. The problem is he's a ticking time bomb and not that great. But at the same time GT is a serious need and Briere is about as valuable in the eyes of traders as he ever will be. I was never a fan of Emery so I guess I'd pick up Leighton's option and keep Boucher as the backup but keep my ears open up to the deadline. They kind of remind me of the early 2000s Eagles. A lot of talent overall but just sorely lacking at one position.
What teams in the league have 2 good goalies but a weak offense?

Yeah they did and he barely did crap for them.... and I liked Biron. Now he's for the Islanders zzzzzzzzzzz snorefest
Big cap dump for the Hawks...They got a 1st and second rounder for them and a couple of scraps.
