I agree about the chiro thing. I really don't trust them. They are not MD's and cannot diagnose neurological or anything important. Thanks again everyone.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. You get numbness and tingling in your fingers, thumb the worse, pinky the least affected. You will find you don't seem to have the strength to pick up heavy pans. Numbness is worse when driving, having arms above your head, sleeping on your side etc. Hold hand down to allow blood to flow back into your hands. You can buy wrist braces that have a metal strip in the to keep your wrists straight at night and that does help. If it gets really bad there is a surgery for it but I don't recommend that unless absolutely necessary as sometimes it actually makes it worse.

If I sleep on my back with my hands crossed on my chest or stomach my pinky and ring fingers on both hands tingle after a while. It's been that way for years. The docs say some people just dont have as good circulation in fingers and toes as other people. They tell me it isn't a problem unless they get like that during normal activities or the pink color under the finger nails looks bluish or gray. Mine always goes away if I move my hands down to my sides. I am one of those folks who also has cold feet and hands in the winter time. I had frost bite on my fingers when I was about 6 yrs old. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not but I've been like this for decades and haven't had any problems with my hands or fingers working right or with consistant pain.
Corpal tunnel is a possibility when fingers have these symptons but I don't have that. Hope you don't have any serious problem. If it is something that has just started recently I would get checked out for sure. I do agree that chiropractors probably isn't the way to go. There are doctors who are specialists in hands and feet because of all the little bones, nerves, etc. My wife had what is called "trigger finger". Her finger would lock in a closed position against the palm of her hand. One of the ligaments had a knot on it that wouldn't let it slide over what the doc called a pulley type thing. She had surgery and hasn't had a problem since. That was 4 years ago. Feet and hands were all this doctor did. Find one of those kind of doctors who know about hand and finger problems.
no one knows any thing about this numbness, you get a million answers, but not the one that concerns the numbness you are experiencing, e.g you get a moron who might say the air pressure in your cars tires may be low, thats why you have numbness in hands and feet
