Occasionally my fingertips get tingling. I've been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Could the tingling fingers be a sign of that?
Yes, that can be a sign of danged near anything, but it certainly gets uncomfortable. I'd like to know what's going on ...
On my next doctor's visit, I'll make an appointment for a stress test, too (see if everything's okay there).
tingling fingers can be caused by an impingement in the brachial plexis in the base of the
neck, where it meets the shoulders. if you experiencing tightness there, try a massage
or a chiropractic adjustment, or both.

The only place along the route that there is exposure of the nerve tissue specific only to the finger tips is in the wrist. If the whole arm or shoulder is aching, or numbness occurs along the path from the vertebrae to the finger tips, maybe.
But, in general message is the exact opposite of what one should do for impingement.

Which fingertips? All of them on both hands or only some on one hand?
It is more likely due to the rheumatoid arthritis. It may also be a side effect of some medications for RA.
In the event that it might be medication related, you might want to give your doctor's office a call.
