At long last, a Popeyes Chicken is apparently coming to the Greenville area with a location coming to Greer, as previously discussed . It will be at the former Ryan's site, along with some other participants. I was also told a location had been planned for Easley, but have not heard an update on that.
I've also been looking forward to having a Popeye's near me.
I've been eating at the Popeye's in Boiling Springs, SC fairly often since it opened and it has been hit or miss. On my last visit the chicken was freshly cooked but the pieces were small and the crust tasted burnt. The cups for the sides seem smaller now and they only fill them 2/3 full.
I've been quite happy when trying other locations (Atlanta airport / Baton Rouge) so I think it is just poor management.
They should take over the Army/Navy store. That placeis disgusting. I don't know how it even stays in business. Of course, that's just my opinion.
That store is a downtown landmark - it's been there forever and I would be sad if it was no longer there.
