Still dont have the demos to support it, or a regular Walmart. Im sure something will head there one day, but not a Walmart Market.

Does anyone know what is being built on East Butler Rd, near Dino's, Moretti's, etc.? It looks like a fast food place, and my nephew said the building reminded him of a Popeye's, but I doubt that's what it is.

To keep this thread on topic and focused, let's keep the "I would love to see..." places over at ATL's fantasy thread: https://www.city-data.com/forum/green...commision.html

He has every retail food/shopping in the United States covered there.

I wish it would be a Popeyes. But it is confirmed a Bojangle's. I like Bojangle's, but we are deprived of Popeyes in the Upstate and there is a major void. They are now in Columbia, Atlanta, Rock Hill, and Charlotte. Way overdue to fill in the gap here.

I would like to research the demographics and the area beyond Starr and Iva. The reach would extend out to Lowndesville, Lake Succession and the Georgia state line.

Pacolet has Dollar General Market (store #13885, 6960 South Pine Street, Pacolet, SC 29372-2243), located in a former supermarket that was once Community Cash and Piggly Wiggly. If the town has easily supported a supermarket before, it can support one now.

Starr and Iva both have Dollar General stores (store #7288, 9720 Highway 81 South, Iva, SC 29655-9313; store #14568, 5616 Highway 81 South, Starr, SC 29687-9399). Iva also has Fred's (store #1925, 9710 Highway 81 South, Iva, SC 29655-9313).

Walmart Express will work. Walmart Market is not going to Starr-Iva. They need a grocery store, but Wamart Market does not fit. Maybe a BILO one day, but thats about it.

I saw a sign yesterday saying the Vitamin Shoppe is going to be in the space beside Starbucks on 123 in Easley.
