Go by where it was going to be. The sign has been removed and the property is listed for sale again.
We really wanted to see it come in, and we hope we are wrong but they have not even broke ground and a year ago they were saying in a year it would open.

As of today at least one of the same Bass Pro out parcel for sale/lease signs that's been up for months is still up. I doubt they'll move forward with anything Until Cabella's has selected a buyer.
I was in Chattanooga Tenn. several months ago. Bass Pro Shop was building a store right across the interstate from a Cabbala's.
The BPS store in Chattanooga is probably close too a opening. You all sparked my curiosity, so I drove out to the future location for BPS in Spartanburg County. All three outparcel sign are still there, contrary to what some have reported.
I've heard that the project may not be happening at Hwy 101 but possibly near Tru Timber located at 26 & 176. I know Bass Pro had purchased Tru Timber last year and I see that Bass Pro Hotel Development has purchased over 157 acres there compared to only 72 acres on 101. Seems that it would be a better location if it happens.

If Bass Pro Shops built an Outdoor World store at Asheville Highway and Interstate 26 in Inman instead, Inman will become a lot busier.

While I'd love to see BPS in this location I'm not sure that will happen. The I-85 / SC-101 site sees much more traffic and is midway between Greenville and Spartanburg.
The whole thing seems to be on indefinite hold. They've also been looking at Cabela's sales at the Greenville location (as part of due dilligence for the acquisition bid) and the numbers haven't been as good as had been expected. If they do buy Cabela's out, they would only make that situation worse by opening another store within 15 miles.
