The Tribune Times reported that Mauldin is one of the fastest growing cities in SC. So why would these two franchises close? Couldn't be for lack of business. I would say that they must have had poor management that ran them into the ground.

That's my logic as well, but wouldn't the corporate entities (or owners if they were franchises) step in if they weren't operating up to snuff?

BK is coming out with a new restaurant design. Upscale would do nicely in Mauldin.

A fresh look to Taco Bell. I've seen a couple of these in the area...Cherrydale for one.

Probably a good thing these places closed. The last thing that we need is more fast food places that stuff the fat people with more sugar enriched crap. And people wonder why we're the fattest country in the world.

While I tend to agree with you g-man I likes me a Whopper Jr. once in awhile and its smaller than the 1/4 lb. thing served down the street.

Thanks for those pics USNRET04; I hope we get both of them!

An upscale Burger King, now that's an oxymoron for ya!

But a new BK probably would improve the overall level of upscale in Mauldin.

It's not just crap, it's poison. It slowly kills you from the inside out. I can't believe people feed it to their kids with all the hormones, chemicals, and antibiotics, not to mention the sugar, salt and saturated fat in that stuff. It's not food.

It's all about the market in the good ol' U.S. of A..... At least until Those Currently in Power change that part..

If there's a market for that, let them have it. As long as the establishments themselves are aesthetically pleasing, I have no problem with them at all.
