Bold prediction there, sir! I imagine, though, you are right.

Kemp cost businesses a ton of money with the MLB fiasco and they are hot to unload him next election.
He is getting ripped apart by both sides and will soon be history.

Nice try but the MLB stuff is on Abrams, and the MLB lost its virtue signaling when they decided to take the game to a less diverse city with more restrictive state voting laws in some ways.

Not quite.
Kemp and his gang had been hammering MLB for more money etc for a while and they finally had their fill with him and his henchman in Atlanta.
Has nothing to do with diversity as he would not even know what that is.

The MLB said they moved the game based on Georgia's voting rights laws, which many in the media said harmed people of color. The problem with that was it was all false and voting days actually increased. By moving the game from a city with more POC, it directly cut into the wallets of small business owners, etc. Meanwhile, the game gets moved to a less diverse city whose citizens may not need as much of an economic boost based on income.

No doubt, the City of Atlanta is leading crime increases across the board and some neighborhoods unaccustomed to high rates are feeling the brunt of high proportional increases (See: Atlanta Forum, Buckhead neighborhood conversations), but there is a crime wave statewide that may take some focus in upcoming critiques about Kemp's governing. Oddly enough the GBI does not have statewide reports for 2019 or 2020 (??), which may be more of a benefit to him than to Georgians. This is a pretty old link in fast news standards: https://www.ajc.com/news/homicides-u...J6RW5UE22SBQ/; it highlights metro trends. Kemp dedicated $5 mil from emergency funds for the crime wave sometime in May, https://www.gwinnettdailypost.com/ne...f09776167.html. But it could also be an easy subject for him to deflect due to the incredibly superficial city versus metro vs rural conversations that tend to happen in this state. It'd be so interesting to see a firm list of his upcoming competitors...

Showing no signs of letting go of his simmering grudge against Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, former president Donald Trump took yet another verbal shot at Kemp at his first post-presidential rally on Saturday in Ohio when he said that the GOP “might have been better” and that Georgia “might have had a better governor” if Stacey Abrams had won and beaten Brian Kemp in the 2018 Georgia Governor’s race.

Trump was a staunch supporter of Kemp in his first race, but that goodwill has since dried up.

During his first post-presidential rally in Ohio on Saturday, the former president suggested that Abrams might have been a more preferable choice for the GOP than Kemp.

"By the way, we might have been better if she did win for governor of Georgia if you want to know the truth," Trump said. "We might have had a better governor if she did win."

I get the point Trump is trying to make. The answer is we would have a DeSantis character, who by the way is doing a better job at being Trump than Trump.

Bingo! DeSantis is scarier than Trump, some of the new bills he has signed are draconian.

Indeed.

While Trump and DeSantis are chummy now, I think the only thing that would stop DeSantis in 2024 would be Trump. Not because Trump would run, but because of Trump's jealously. The more headlines DeSantis gets as being "A Better Version of Trump" will eat at the Donald and he'll try to torpedo DeSantis' campaign. DeSantis if he runs has to walk a fine line because Trump is too insecure and couldn't handle someone else getting more praise than him even if that person is considered a protege.

Getting back to Kemp, Brian can weather the attacks from Trump. Will he be wounded heading into the general? Sure, but we unfortunately only have a two-party system, so what are conservatives going to do, vote for Stacey Abrams to spite Kemp? HA! That will be the day. Heading into election day 2022, Kemp is banking on a better economy, the new voting law and no pandemic which is his mind = re-election.
