Hi taxtroll!

I live in Kennesaw too....and I was born in New York and grew up on Long Island...what a small world it is.

I enjoy living here as well. I've met many people from New York and just about everywhere else. I think it's just one big melting pot and most of the people that I have met have been really nice.

Default Move to Woodstock

I am from CT & my husband moved from Long Island to Florida to Georgia. We have lived in Woodstock for 18 years. We are Catholic, but our problem was similar. There were only Baptist churchs. The closest Catholic church was 40 minutes away on the other side of Roswell. Now, I can be at one of 4 Catholic churches in 15 minutes. I have several friends who are Jewish and i know one of them goes to a Synagogue in Roswell. My boss lives in Atlanta, DeKalb county which has a very large Jewish community. On a Saturday that would take about 50 minutes from Woodstock to get to that area. Good luck. It is a great place to live.

There's a synagogue in Alpharetta which would be a fairly pleasant drive - no freeway involved, about 20 miles.

East Cobb has a sizeable jewish community. The JCC is just down the road from us and I'd say our subdivision is about 20% Jewish. Mamy transplants from the Northeast. There is also a large Catholic Church St. Ann's on Roswell Road. Hope this helps.

I am 44 single women who is tired of California. I want to live in a safe and nice town where people are friendly. I think Woodstock would be perfect. I grew up in Peachtree city GA as a child and loved it. Will I love Woodstock?
Thank you
