Hello.
I have been doing a lot of research on the Acworth/Woodstock areas and am getting ready to pay a visit... the thing that keeps on nagging my mind is that it seems impossible to find job listings that are not in Atlanta. Is this the case? Or am I not looking in the right places?? Is there work inside Cobb county... Acworth??
Also, how common are homes set in an acre+ parcel?? I have been able to find some while looking on line but was hoping that once we actually get there we might see a lot more... Any info on the city of Acworth would be appreciated. Also... How ATV friendly are these areas??

Thank you for your help!!

Yes, there's plenty. Look for Cobb County, also Marietta and Kennesaw which have a lot of office parks.

For acre lots, I'd head a little farther north, my first choice being Cartersville, easy drive down to Cobb County without having to take the interstate. I know of a house in Cartersville for sale on 2/3 acre if that's close enough, but of course I have no idea what you're looking for.

Acworth is OK, it's actually located in Cobb, Cherokee, Bartow and Paulding Counties! There are parts that are a bit run down, but there are TONS of new subdivisions, with the traffic that goes along with them. There's a nice little historic downtown area, and Lake Allatoona. There are lots of inexpensive homes near the lake, and by inexpensive, I mean trailer. However there are some nicer older homes close to the downtown area too.
