Which one of these towns feels like "big city," with its nightlife, movies, shopping, outdoor activities, nightclubs (I'm 18, so I'm looking for +18), cultural centers, museum, ect.
So, I'm single male, looking for active life.
Macon = Small City, Columbus = Big Town. they are about as close as you can get to 2 city's that are the same though some would argue against that. Macon gets you a little closer to beach and the real Big City in Ga.
Shopping / Columbus > Macon
Nightlife/Movies / Columbus = Macon
Outdoor Activities / Columbus > Macon
Museums / Columbus < Macon
Cultural Centers / Columbus = Macon
these are just personal opinions. I would suggest spending a couple of days in each city and then make your decision. Everyone does not have the same experiences in a city, being that I am alot older than you my particular tastes may differ from yours.

Notice the separation between Birmingham and the rest...

2009 Urban area populations
Birmingham 662,397
Charleston 473,781
Columbia 454,125
Augusta 340,146
Greenville 327,406
Columbus 246,572
Savannah 203,256
Macon 129,827k
Well To be honest, What most have failed to realize is that most of Ga's 2nd Tier Cities have huge draw areas and serve as Economic Hubs for their region. For Example Macon, The City MSA & CSA may be smaller than some of the Cities you mention But because there is no city with in a 50mile radius that offer the amenities of Macon therefore people are forced into Macon for Numerous reasons; Macon Serves as a Hub for 22 Counties and with a pop of over 700,000; Before the recessions hit, Macon had just completed its second Mall and multiple Huge retail developments was also proposed with High-end shopping and some new to GA; that either backed out or push developments back to 2012 or 2013; One of these developments that pushed back its Scheduled constructions was North Macon Town Center (http://www.retailworksusa.com/katapu...0Rendering.pdf) a Development Very similar to Atlantic Station; If these projects had all went through as planned they would have put Macon second after Atlanta in the state for shopping and eating selections. Costco has also proposed a store in North Macon in one of these new developments. Check out (Developments in Macon "From North Macon Upscale retail to Dowtown living") https://www.city-data.com/forum/macon...le-retail.html

I would have to go with Macon, it has everything Atlanta has, crime, crime, and even crime! The only thing it's missing is Atlanta's towering skyscrapers. But that's ok. It has the Fickling building

Default Wait!!!

one more thing, Macon is your choice= chose macon. Macon is surrounded by other cities has 3 interstates, 75 475 and 16, also they are north of Warner Robins. Macon has more shopping plazas hotels and lights, Columbus the big city in the middle of no where...... so dont go there they r still underconstuction, besides Macon should become Consolidated in the future and by then the population will grow along with the skyline, And dont forget they are on 75 which passes through some of the greatest cities it goes from miami to tampa, atlanta, and north to canada. so Macon is the center of attention compared to COLUMBUS...................GO FOR MACON THE CITY OF THE FUTURE..............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
