Your right I dont know, but it was just an observation. One thing is probably true though, most people in the US dont care about midwestern states like Illinois and Michigan so most people responding likely are from those two states. Just a guess though.

I'm going to say that it's probably not in the top five.

Gary costs too much? But there are plenty of other reasonably prices nice suburbs on Lake Michigan and other lakes.

1. You're assuming way too much.

2. Why do people who live in Michigan or Illinois not have valid votes?

Although I prefer Michigan's scenery, I would take Illinois simply because of Chicago.

Michigan, hands down. The outdoor recreational opportunities there are endless, and the scenery is beautiful.

I didn't take Chicago or Detroit into consideration, because they cancel each other out in my opinion. Chicago has way too much crime and corruption, and Detroit is the dirtiest city I've ever seen.

I haven't lived in either, so I'm not biased in that way. Plus I'm from Ohio, so I must really like MI over IL because....well our team is just better

Oh, now it makes sense.

I wasn't saying that the cities were in any way equals. I think Chicago eclipses Detroit. But to me, neither are special places so I didn't take them into account for my answer. The question was about the whole state, not just the big city in them.

I say I'm from Ohio because it's where I went to high school, and where I just moved back to. But I've lived in Las Vegas, New York (state), North Carolina, New Mexico, Phoenix, and Denver. Spent a lot of time visiting both Chicago and Detroit on my way to visit in-laws in northern WI. I like Ohio, but my eyes are open to other places as well. I've spent time in places all over the country, so being in Ohio has no real influence on my answer other than I like the Buckeyes over the Wolverines.

It is actually insulting to even dare compare one of the most breathtaking States with Illinois! That is just plain childish, rude, and/or a cheap shot at Michigan. I will say, however, on the flip side, it would be insulting to Chicago to compare it with the city limits of Detroit.

I can't believe this is even a question. Michigan. One hundred times. I wouldn't live in Detroit or Chicago so the major cities are not my criteria. Except I'd rather see the Wings play than the Blackhawks.
