2018 isn't THAT far off; I just hope they stick to that date.

I'm not sure, but in my honest opinion, I'd rather a different company handle streetcar/light rail travel within Fort Worth instead of The T.

The city basically had to twist their arm and get rid of people just to make THIS happen.

As for the time, I'd expect it would take no longer to get from Downtown FW to the airport than it does riding the TRE downtown to downtown. Keep in mind that this is just about 2/3 of the project. That line is supposed to extend to SWFW around Sycamore School Road.

Even better. I'd read about his project back in 2009, but when it never moved forward I lost hope.

So, time would be about 45 minutes? If they were to run frequently enough I would think that this would be an attractive option; an alternative to paying for parking at DFW or expensive taxi/ blue van rides.

45 mins, give or take.

That's just from downtown to DFW, of course. It'll be a little longer (but not too much) as soon as it extends.

The train is to begin running in 2018, so I think the expansion to SWFW should come 2 or 3 years later, depending on funding.
