For those of you that have lived here long enough, who are the major employers in Fort Collins...that actually pay decent. Are there any other than the hospitals? Just curious.

Probably CSU - other employers are HP, Intel, LSI Logic, AMD, etc and the hospitals like Poudre Valley

Add Woodward Governor.

Shouldn't be hard to get a complete list with a few clicks on your keyboard.

The city of Fort Collins, Larimer County, Kodak, and budweiser are a couple of more.

Thanks. I just thought that it would be helpful for people new to the area or those that are thinking about moving here.

Speaking of jobs does anyone know if there are any animal shelters or sanctuaries in Fort Collins or within a half hour drive anywhere in the general area of fort collins. I'm looking to maybe one day relocate there and I'd love to get a job in either one of those type of places. I'm planning on visiting there possible in a month or two so i'd love to check them out if there there
Thanks

There are several in the area. I would look on qwestdex.com and you will see all of them in the area. An interesting one is a wolf sanctuary up rist canyon. Not sure if they hire any help but thought I would throw that out there. The biggest one that has staff is Larimer County Humane Society. Good luck.

I'm not a realtor, but maybe if you look toward the high side of that estimate. Realistically I would think 180-225 should get you something decent. It also depends on what you mean by "nice" (size, location, age, etc).

CSU, Poudre Valley Hospital, Poudre School District, HP, Kodak, Woodward, Intel are all large employers in the area. Hell even the City of Fort Collins has a sizable workforce, as does Larimer County, USDA, and the US Forest Service
