Skoe, I hope you try these. Let me know if they are any good. I completely understand what was said about smoothies not always being healthy. I just didn't get that you wanted those kinds of recipes. My husband is one of those people who will take a healthy meal or snack and make it junk. (Like dipping apple slices in caramel) Drives me crazy.

But for me, if I make a smoothie for breakfast I'm good until lunch. But I drink both servings And I trick myself into having a banana everyday. So just think what you can slip past the kids

Our smoothie recipe is as follows:
1/2 cup yougurt
1 cup oj
frozen berries: strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackberry
bananna

My kids love em....the raspeberry and blueberry give it that extra zing. (I've heard that the blueberry is supposed to be the "super" berry, don't know if that is true though)

Hmmmmmmmmm.....I bought one of those smoothie blender things with a spigot and I just love making smoothies.....It's handy to have that spigot

Most of the time I use Strawberries, a banana, 1/2c cup frozen orange juice concentrate ... if too thick add a bit of club soda or flavored water.

But you can make these out of about any type of fruit. But...I didn't like putting apples in there....for some reason I didn't like the texture very well.

I have the smoothie maker also. I love it. I made a smoothie with oranges and grapefruit. The taste was good, but it was too runny and pulpy. Yuck!!!

It's all hit and miss. But you have to keep trying new things. It's fun.
