A sort of Mexican stew with thinly sliced pork chops, chilies, and shredded cabbage in a red Chile sauce over Mexican rice or in warm flour tortillas. A pitcher of margaritas and pineapple cheese cake for dessert.

We had a Pappadeaux’s gift card so fried oysters for DH and fried shrimp for me. Key lime pie for dessert.

Stopped in at Subway prior t our shopping. I got a 6” Italiano. I think that’s what it was called wit provolone cheese, tomato, spinach, red onion, and a bit of Italian dressing. Small blue raspberry freeze and apackge of garden salsa potato chips. Sharing last 2 items with DH.

Homemade red beans & rice and collard greens. Have no idea what got into me on a 100+ degree day and caused me to make comfort food more suitable to cold weather.....but it was darn good.
