So last night we went to a Vietnamese wedding. It was so cool to see the culture on the dance floor. Most of the reception was in Vietnamese with Karaoke singing the entire time. (I think this is part of the culture??) Food was mainly seafood based but not spicy and it was served in courses. It was pretty tasty.

Today I'm attempting to smoke a rack of baby backs and baked potato's on the new Traeger. I'm using Hickory pellets and I'll keep you all posted. My back up is pizza LOL

It has become part of the culture for many Asian descendants, Filipino, Japanese, Vietnamese.... They just love it.

Tilapia, green beans, couscous, and maybe the last of the sugar snap peas from the garden. I was surprised they were any good in this heat.

Every so often it's the cooks idea to do breakfast for supper and you just don't argue with waffles.

Dinner tonight was trattole pasta (my favorite) with oyster mushrooms and sausage. Also mixed greens salad with a balsamic vinaigrette, garlic toast and Pinot noir to drink. Fresh watermelon for dessert.
