Last night made (first time ever) BBQ chicken dumplings from start (making bao dough) to finish (deep frying dumplings).
We love dumplings of all cuisines lol.

It was big energy, had to call in hubby to make a salad and dipping sauce. Recipe from book "Dumplings All Day Wong". They were really, really good but will be a long time until remake due to time required.

Tonight is hubby's night to cook so takeout planned from Vietnamese fave restaurant. Yay.

DH’s pre-surgery dinner - filet mignon, baked potato and either kale or broccoli.

Hi, everyone! I'm back from, um, a mini-sabbatical from C-D. I see I missed lots of good dinners!

Alas, I finally had one of my frozen dinners that DIDN'T freeze well -- the Hunan beef meal. I think it's because I added riced cauliflower to it before freezing, then the cauliflower was mushy when I nuked it (but that's a bit puzzling, as I THINK I've nuked other meals with the cauliflower too and they've all been fantastic from frozen; riced cauliflower also freezes very well by itself). Next time I have the Hunan beef meal (I have 3 more frozen portions), I will try to remove as much of the riced cauliflower as possible first and nuke that separately for just a minute or so. Hopefully that will work.

Anyway, if it's Wednesday it must be soup day. Today, Progresso pot roast soup for my first time ever; I'll add lots of veggies to it as it doesn't appear to have many! Tomorrow, CHICKEN SOFT TACOS! Gee, do I seem excited by the prospect?

That sounds so good, haven't had it in forever, I think I will remedy that tomorrow night.
