So we went out to a nice steakhouse last night that we've never been to before. Everything was good until they brought my ribeye out. It was heavily grilled marked and reminded me of cheap steak but for $55. I took one bite and could not eat it. It had like a very weird gas taste to it. I cannot explain it. Even the dog log wouldn't eat it when we brought it home. Out in the garbage it went

I had the same experience at Charleys in Orlando many, many years ago. Absolutely could not eat their steak and left hungry.

Anyone else have this experience?

Awesome corned beef, cabbage and potatoes tonight. Cooked for 8 hours in a slow cooker and it was very good❗️

A favorite: Stuffed, green bell peppers, made enough for two meals.

Corned beef tacos! Because, you know, we are San Diegans so every leftovers are potentially taco ingredients.

My wife made a soup / stew with diced home canned pork, carrots, onion, potato, garlic and fair amount of barley. The soup stock was also homemade from beef bones in a large batch then home canned in pint mason jars. This started out as a soup but the barley was first in and she let it simmer all day so it thickened up a lot. If it was a mistake, it was a good one.

No complaints from me.
