This time of the year gets gloomy in MN and I imagine that they would both like a home-cooked meal. We'll have a good visit.

They're a couple of characters. One's from a background like mine - little Norwegian town on the prairie. The other is a Yooper from Michigan and grew up in a mining town, orphaned from a young age.

I want that stew to age a day because I know it'll taste better. So tonight the DH and I will eat tuna salad sandwiches and chips.
I can’t Rep you, but I’d like to be your company.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe we can go together.

I had a traditional stuffed bell pepper.

Oldie but goodie - Swedish meat balls, with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, (I am not a purist, I used Bob Evans - please don't judge me) fresh cut green beans.

A slice of coconut pistachio pie from yesterday, and a cup of tea.

Earlier we had a tossed salad, mushroom-spinach-cheese manicotti, and garlic bread. A glass of chianti classico and the last piece (shared) of tiramisu for dessert. Wanted to get a pic but we were so famished just didn't happen.
