Spring rolls and rice, & PF Chang’s Mango S/S Sauce
Raspberry tea

Tempted to go to Jersey Mike’s tomorrow (different locale & closer to home, I think).
I’ve been wanting to try this newer location. The old one was fine for me coming back from work.
It’s been years.

Left over seafood boil (hubby went to store earlier today and came back with some more corn on the cob)
Tried a brand new box of RL cheddar biscuits. Followed directions to a T and dough still quite runny. I called the number on the box, phone message said they were closed. Strange, it was a week day. It would have been around 2pm by their time.

Mt Dew

Water now

Friends dropped in yesterday with a large bag of frozen walleye. What fortune!

I'm frying them with a crispy coating and serving with lemon and tartar sauce. Side salad and toast.

He used to be a fishing guide "up north" and always has a freezer full of goodies. Also hunts deer and elk.

I have to snicker and think of my mom because every fall he cleans out his freezer to make room for the fresh stuff and they usually invite us over for a walleye dinner. But this year I'm under the weather so they brought it down.

We never get the fresh stuff! But I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. Glad to have the treat. It reminds me of Mom because it's old-style homemaking. She told me once she never got a fresh piece of cake in her whole childhood because every Monday her mom would make a fresh cake but nobody got to eat it because it was in case company came. So on Monday they could start eating the old cake.

They're friends of over fifty years. You know you're family when you eat the old walleye. They come in the back door, too.
