I had a ham & Muenster rollup, with a little Penzey's Sandwich Sprinkle to add some pizazz. DH had some strange concoction involving avocado, chicken, salsa, and goodness knows what else. Okay by me; I didn't have to eat it!
Grilled filet migon (sp... whatever...) with bleu cheese and cauliflower.

Earlier tonight enjoyed two hot dogs (Grill Mates beef franks) with relish & mustard and a small bag of peanuts while watching the Astros/Dodgers play game 5 of the World Series. Was the perfect meal for baseball...same as many of the fans at the ballpark. Drank Lagunitas IPA.
Btw, what a game! It's still not over. The Astros were trailing 3-0 after the 1st inning and now lead the Dodgers 12-9 in the 8th inning.
Wow! It is now tied at 12-12 in the 9th inning! Simply unbelievable! Anyways, this is a food thread. I will post any additional comments about the game in a sports thread.
cold wet and windy last night, so made a pot of andouille bean & veggie soup. For dessert, a failed Bake-Off attempt, salted caramel maple pecan bars. Much too sweet and nothing really different about it to make it entry-worthy.
Tonight red kidney bean soup with chapatis,homemade yogurt,lime pickles,onion,cucumber,tomato slices and lassi to drink. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit each.
The grapefruit season has started here with 7 grapefruits in a net for $3.98 Canadian. Prices will drop within a month. Yay.
