tonight it is last nights planned dinner as spoiled brat wanted pasta topped with pesto and shrimp. It was really good. Now it is pork steak, mashed cauliflower and potatoes and the Asian beans.

Leftovers from last night, I made a vegetable mix (broccoli, carrots, celery and kale) and cooked mild Italian sausage to mix in. Yummy.

The last of the big pot of beef and barley soup I made to freeze. Homemade chicken stock with a about 1 cup of better than boullion beef stock to "beef it up", barley, some small cubed stew beef locally raised and slaughtered (I am trying to give up any beef that hasn't been locally raised), a small amount of carrot, celery, mushrooms, very small amount of kale.

Curly pasta with smoked ham (stank up the neighborhood yesterday), mushrooms, cream, garden herbs and a big green salad. Comfort food 101.

I think we're going to be eating posole for the next several days. Hubby made a huge quantity of it.

Magicshark - that picture has me drooling!

Tonight we are having rosemary-orange glazed Cornish hens, wild rice with mushrooms and gravy, cranberry orange relish, Hawaiian rolls, and apricot bars for dessert.

Roast beef?
Cornish hens?

I feel like such a slacker. I did make homemade macaroni and cheese, and with it some fancy sausages and Brussels sprouts. Also apple pie.
