My husband is cooking tonight. He says it will be roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas and biscuits.
Happy Sunday!

typical Sunday: steak, green salad and I think we will have squash and maybe a second veggie like carrots or broccoli and cauliflower. Maybe a combo of all the above.

Butternut Squash and Sage Lasagna, Harvest Salad with Romaine, diced apples, sharp cheddar, walnuts and dried cranberries with an apple cider dressing.

Here's a link to the recipe. I've tried it before and it's quite good - Butternut Squash and Sage Lasagna

Sauteed chicken breast and steamed vegetables. Probably a spoonful of peanutbutter for dessert.

Got a fresh cheese pizza from supermarket, load it up with veggies and turkey pepperoni and toss it on the grill.

I like cooking chicken in the Crockpot; afterwards I put the chicken under the broiler to crisp the skin.

Tonight it is Crockpot chicken thighs seasoned with a pinch of cayenne pepper, tumeric, paprika, garlic powder, cumin and onion powder. I like to put a basil leaf on the top of the chicken and let the flavor slowing infuse. The chicken will be served with macaroni & cheese, leftovers: Buttermilk cornbread; braised turnips with greens of beets and broccoli.

Trying to clean out the cabinets and refrigerator. I made DH meatball ravioli parmesan.

And I had Split Pea and Ham soup with some leftover ham.

Thanks for the reminder - I was wondering what to do with the extra ham. It was purchased for sandwiches and taste fine but the smell is off-putting. Strange I don't enjoy sandwiches made with it with the same gusto as I regularly do. Split-pea soup will work wonderfully.
