well yesterdays plans and today's got switched around so, tonight will be mac and cheese. Last night, after our big Mexican lunch we were too full for much dinner. I had the left over taco I brought home from lunch. God love spoiled brat, his appetite is still like it was when he was 30; he didn't leave anything to bring home. Heck, he almost ate an entire basket of chips, after lunch and before we got our check. I did fix him a grilled ham and cheese sandwich and he had cut up fruit.
It's been raining for what feels like forever here. I forget what the sun even looks like.
Tonight for dinner will be omelets. I am thinking feta, spinach and tomatoes.
Tonight pizza made from Durum flour, flax seeds, tomato sauce with onion, garlic, green olives, green Bell pepper, tomato slices and Canadian marble cheddar cheese. Served with a mixed garden salad and small garlic butter buns. To drink beer. For dessert Jamocha or mint chocolate ice cream.
Bachelor son came yesterday and made short work of the chow mein. Made me laugh. Kept nodding his head in approval while he ate. Guess he knows how to keep the free meals coming. He's in his forties and still can eat like a teenager and not gain an ounce. Comes in handy for leftovers.
Cool and rainy here too, magicshark, and it's getting pretty old. I have flats of bedding plants on the deck and plenty of sticky mud to try to plant them in.
You were all so dear to wish us well. I thought I had answered but don't see the post that fifty years is sort of like what we put on the table - sometimes it's fresh and good and other times you get what you've got and be thankful for it! As mom would have said, "Some poor people are unmarried in India."
Tonight it's "get what we've got". Sent DH down to the freezer and he came back up with some frozen pork and sauerkraut. I'm going to make homemade mashed potatoes. It's not exactly spring fare but appropriate comfort food for the weather.
Hahahaha yes if you were a real friend you'd send me one via airmail!
Trust me that's a far better fate than me putting mustard on it!
I've seen it in films they put ketchup on it?
PS also I can't STAND peanut butter either lol
No ketchup on a hot dog is strictly a Chicago area thing. Some hot dog places don't even have it as an option. Gene & Jude's is a good example. The rest of the country is a little less - well - let's say strident about it.
For dinner, I am having the small, round, Tostitos nacho chips, with a blob of salsa on it (we got some EXCELLENT fresh salsa from the store the other day), and smothered with cheddar cheese. Broil for a few minutes, and eat! I know, I know, the prep is pretty extensive but hey - it's WORTH it to me!

That's ok I'd still love to visit Chicago one day and yes I might have to have it without ketchup in order to keep the peace but unfortunately as I can't stand mustard it would have to be a plain hot dog......So I'd need a few more beers to wash it down with instead!!!
Win/Win
( Thanking you for the link and have a nice weekend )
