We are having a heat wave here in So Cal and I already used the oven for my breakfast frittata in the morning, so we kept dinner simple - cheese tortellini with jarred pasta sauce (freshly grated Parmesan cheese though) and home made garlic bread I made in the toaster oven.

I hope this heat goes away, I'd love to start baking my paleo treats again now that my semester is over. A nice pot roast or a Cuban lechon would be a welcome meaty treat too!

let's see? It depends on our friends. They are picking us up and we are going to our last church couples fun and bible study group this afternoon. I have invited them for a glass of wine afterwards; knowing them they may suggest we go out to dinner afterwards at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Obviously if they do, we will be eating Mexican food. If not, I have defrosting both chicken wings and a couple of thighs. If I cook here i will be chicken, brussle sprouts and asparagus, as well as fruit salad. I have just a few brussle sprouts left and about 6 or so asparagus spears.
