Grumpy night tonight....

First day back to work after a week of vacation, another 4-hour evening class, and the spouse is off on a two-day seminar upstate. Had a cold sandwich for supper, en route to class from work.

Got home a bit after 10 and remembered while pulling into the drive that I had promised cookies for tomorrow night's neighborhood meeting.... back to the grocery store, where I copped out and bought a couple of those rolls of refrigerator cookie dough.

Headed home again, figuring that I could wash the few breakfast dishes while the cookies baked and be in bed in half an hour, and walked in to a wall-to-wall mess in the kitchen. The daughter had cooked supper for herself and her sig-other, then suddenly and unaccountably developed a mysterious pain in her elbow that rendered her unable to clean up after herself. Pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses all over the place, not even rinsed. Grrrrrrrr........

20 minutes later, got the cookies in the oven, started sorting and rinsing dishes, took cookies out of the oven to cool, finished dishes, cleaned pans and cooling racks, wiped up crumbs, stored cookies in tupperware for delivery to the meeting and finally headed toward the bedroom a bit before midnight.

There, I found that the grand-kitty had an explosive attack of furball expulsion, all over the bedroom carpet and the wool throw on the bed.

Growl, grumble, grumble, mutter, humph.... I am mightily glad that this Monday is DONE!

Sorry for venting, all, but thanks for letting me get that off my chest!

MDBookWorm,
Sometimes you gotta vent! I had a busy day, and had to get Papa Murphys.

That sounds great! My kind of dinner. Welcome!

MBW--oh my! Sorry you had to come home to such a wreck--especially after working! Aren't kids great??

Amber, happy the baby enjoyed his little meatballs. I can just see him saying that!

Congrats to your hubby! It works if you stick with it...
We're having held over Elk roast marinating since yesterday. Son got the flu and wife's cold was bad so we decided to put it off till tonight.
Elk, baked potatoes and veggies tonight. Got to decided if I want to bake a pie or do some sort of cookies...

Good Morning everyone...

I'm not sure yet for dinner but I am guessing something pork as I just put on a pot of applesauce. My house smells like Autumn. Or I can use it as a room freshener and have DH take me out. We'll see.

Have a great day.

skbs...........Good for your DH. Every pound counts!
