Nothing good happens after 2:00 p.m. There's no reason for people to be drinking and partying after 2:00 p.m. That's why places like Miami were invented. So people who can't figure out how to have fun during normal hours have a place to live.

As for working the "night shift", that should be abolished as well. Stores don't need to be open 24-7, and Walmart doesn't need to stock their shelves at 3:00 am. In fact, this is how most cities in the United States works. Miami, and a few other larger cities are in the minority.

What do you do, go to bed right after lunch? Can you define the term Normal as you use it?

Places like Miami Beach don't get rocking till 1 am. Most people start arriving at midnight or 1 am at the clubs. What happens is people don't have dinner till 9/10 at night. Dinner takes a while then by the time they get to the clubs its past midnight.

That's why I don't live in Miami Beach!!! I'm a crusty old fart who will kick any politician's ass in Seminole County who thinks that making something more like Miami Beach is a good thing. I know pleanty of other "crusty old farts" in Orange and Lake county as well.

I'm up by 5:30 am and go to bed at 10:00. I expect EVERYONE to go to bed by 12:00 midnight. If you don't like them rules, then stay in Miami! We need more redneck southerners and less big-city new yorkers in this state - I'm doing my part!

In essence he is supporting a curfew, which would do wonders for crime but make enemies of all the night owls....whooooo whoooooo

A few years ago when my sister was still living with my parents. She came home from the clubs at the same time my dad was opening the gate to get the paper at 6 am. Funny two different lifestyles at two different points of life.

No, there's no "essence" about it. I absolutely support curfews! I'm all in favor of businesses shutting down at 12:00 p.m. and opening no earlier than 6:00 a.m. I don't really care if someone thinks they have the need or right to "dance" somewhere late at night. Do it in Miami.

That wouldn't be considered "funny" at my house. That would be considered a one-way no-expense-paid ticket to your very own appartment.

Prichard come on you got to admit it is a little funny. Losen up a bit, life is too short. Remember when you were young you did somethings I bet.

So you are against anybody having any rights to do anything you don't agree with? I believe Hitler had a few of those beliefs. An old "fart" as you describe yourself, would have been evaluated and if determined to be of no use, exterminated. Is that what you wish, to exterminate anyone who doesn't believe like you? That's what it sounds like.

I'm in there with you Prichard!!! When I walk the dog past 10:00 PM there are NO lights on in my community. Everyone is in bed because we all get up and to to work the next morning! Of course, my son is a different story. He stays up 'till 3:00 AM (sometimes studying...often playing the guitar) and still gets up and goes to a 7:30 am class the next morning. Oh...to be young!
