Never got this about the up north types, say they love the "natural beauty" of the state but have no problem tearing down 50 acres of trees for a stripmall. How can we stop these invaders from destroying what is left of our once beautiful state?

all the ones I know are. regardless of where they're from, I think the OP's point is that the very characteristics that people love about FL are being paved over real quick.
