They are coming down, 30% of them were coming before they heard they can get the vaccine, please do a little research, you'll see what is happening.

3 of what is soon to be 100's of articles. They are coming everyday, the estimate is 80,000 people who are not residents of Florida have gotten vaccines here, some coming just for that and then going home, from neighboring states.
So far,I only see a few that are not part-time residents. Doesn’t sound like a flood.

Again, the majority of these people are part-time residents. They live in Florida this time of year and this is where they get their medical care.

This would be all fine and dandy if there was vaccines to support part time residents, however states were shipped vaccine based on full time residents. This is why you are seeing vaccine sites being shut down, one in miami today... they are running out of it prematurely because anyone over 65 world wide can come and get it. That is NOT how the vaccine allotment was given out.

These people normally live here this time of year. They get their medical care here. They are not tourists. It is sickening to see you value one life over another, just days ago, you were mad that older people were prioritized over younger people.

No, I was and still am mad that older folks on vacation who are NOT FLORIDA RESIDENTS are prioritized over TEACHERS who were forced by the Gov. to go back to work and be with covid positive students in their classrooms. By REMOVING TEACHERS from the pecking order he also removed teachers 50-64 as well as the younger crew. It's so clearly obvious I don't know how you can possibly argue that a citizen of another country deserves the vaccine before a Floridian teacher who is 64. I know a 58 year old Florida teacher who just got through a heart surgery, who has asked twice when he can get it, his doctor says "not yet according to the gov's rules".. yet a damn tourist can come in and get it and talk about how great it is because she wouldn't be able to get it for a while in her country.

That's just not right.

I see. So just because these people have the money to have two homes they should then be allowed to have twice the opportunity to get vaccinated no matter that the allocation for their vaccine is going to their permanent residence. As always, those with the money to have two homes get to trample over the permanent residents that have no other place to go. We just have to get in the back of the line. Got it!

This is exactly what is happening and apparently lots of people here are okay with it. Ocean Reef Club is a great example of it.

Monroe county FL (the keys) was barely giving out any vaccine till ocean reef joined in... and then vaccinations went through the roof there. Guess how many of that place are full time residents... next to none. They all flew in on their private planes just for the vaccine.

This is where they live this time of year, just like people live in Texas, Arizona, the Carolina’s, etc, this time of year. All these people get their medical care wherever they live. Get over it.

Hard concept for the small-minded.
