IMO, Martin County > Brevard County. Hands down. Then again I don't think I'd ever live north of Martin County, not my style, and even though Martin County is a conservative county, anything above St. Lucie is a bit too "red" for my taste.

I had the misfortune of having to spend 3 weeks in Titusville for work last year. Makes Fort Pierce seem vibrant in comparison!

Melbourne is no more red than anywhere in Martin county. Art-loving liberals were out in full-force for the annual melbourne arts festival this weekend. It was awesome.

Yes, but while Martin County is conservative, it's surrounded to the immediate north and south by "blue."

The joke is that Port St. Lucie is where the working class northeasterners go to live. Palm Beach is where the ones with money go.

On behalf of all Brevard County residents, I hereby apologize that you had to stay in Titusville for three weeks. Even before the end of the shuttle program, Titusville was a very depressed city. The nicer parts of Brevard are all south of the 528 IMO.

The few times I've been to Fort Pierce, it did remind me of Titusville. Fort Pierce seemed rougher though where Titusville is just empty.
