Mid 20's are confusing age, another transition age. I had the same question back then. Most of my friends shopped in Junior section but I found them silly. I was also larger and had womanly curve, so the Junior stuff just didn't fit me right. But petite section made me look old. I think mid 20's shop are Express, The Limited, Gap, maybe even NY&Co type. But I was too cheap to pay high price for those in my mid 20's. I went thru several years of wearing terrible clothes & being made fun of by my friends.
I am 29 now and I feel like I have a grasp of style. Because I am over weight, I don't bother with Junior section & I am also willing to pay lil bit more for nicer outfit. I don't see how chubby girls (even teenagers who are chubby) find clothes to fit in Junior section. There Large is = adult med.
Well, I agree with you that after a time gap junior dresses are not comfortable for all women. Actually, it totally depends on women's body type so you have a slimmer body than you can wear any dress at any age without any hesitation.
All depends on how things fit you. I had an extremely early growth spurt and started wearing men's clothes at the age of 12. Was already 5'8" & 150 lb by then, went up to 6'1" & 211 around 2 years ago, and now I'm back down to 5'10" & 161. I don't know what the heck is going on here.

even chubby teens look silly wearing low cut jeans and tops with their big belly and fat butt

That's exactly what I was going to say. Did a guy start this thread? Shopping in juniors (or not) is not about age; it's about your size. A woman should cease and desist the juniors section shopping when her butt and boobs are stretching the fabric beyond its natural capacity. I outgrew juniors around age 13. I have the body of a gymnast, not a ballerina. I always had curves, but I wasn't overweight, so misses clothing looked much better from an early age. It's too bad so many women haven't learned that lesson. It's very unattractive for a woman to look like an overstuffed sausage in her jeans/dresses. No matter what her size, wearing properly fitting clothing is always more beautiful.
There is no AGE...it's about the cut, fit and design of the garment.
If what the 'juniors' department has works for a person in terms of size and fit -- and the look or DESIGN of the dress, or suit, top or whatever....isn't too 'young' -- or not appropriate in some way, then shop there. If you can find what works.....who cares that it's in the 'juniors' department.
Why is this even an age related question? Is someone dressing to "young?" That can happen shopping in the juniors department OR the "misses" department.
