Ladies, what are your thoughts on men wearing Birkenstock sandals? (brands, male)

A female friend suggested that I buy some. She said they look better than leather flip flops. I'm not so sure I'm sold on them though. They are pretty expensive.

It matters more what you think of that style (there are plenty of brands that look like Birkenstocks that aren't so pricy.) If that vibe isn't your thing, don't buy them.

It's a personal preference. As long as the sandals are nice looking and feet are well kept, sandals are sandals

They're pricey but they last forever. If you like them, and if they're comfortable for you, then go for it.

I don't really care what men wear. But they're comfy and high quality shoes. Comfort and cost-effectiveness are two things I value, so if I see a guy wearing them, I'd have a positive association with it.

Personally I'm not a fan of them. I much prefer leather flip flops. Provided, as others have mentioned, that the feet are well groomed.

I think they are ugly as hell. I also don't love flip flops unless you're at the beach. How about boat shoes or something else?

Meeting someone wearing Birkenstocks makes me take a big pause....

A female in them makes me think ....she must not care about being female and the word feminine is not in her vocabulary or lifestyle.

Anyhow ... wear what you want. Look in the mirror before you leave
