I think they are ugly as hell. I also don't love flip flops unless you're at the beach. How about boat shoes or something else?
Meeting someone wearing Birkenstocks makes me take a big pause....
A female in them makes me think ....she must not care about being female and the word feminine is not in her vocabulary or lifestyle.
Anyhow ... wear what you want. Look in the mirror before you leave
Or she is doing an intense amount of walking and the “feminine” sandals are just not going to cut it. No matter what your gender, if you want a sandal that is going to work for walking longer distances, flip flops are not a good choice. You don’t need women’s approval to buy a pair of good, comfortable shoes. Try a pair on. Not everyone can wear Birkies, but if you can, and they are comfortable, buy yourself a pair. Your feet, and the frown lines between your brows, will thank you.
Birkenstocks have been worn for decades now. They are beyond fashion or trends. They are classics.
If you hate them, how they look or how they feel, then buy something else.
With sandals, foot grooming is essential.
