My then husband told me, "Do what you have to, but you need to hide that disgusted look when you see him. It's so rude!" I'm not sure if I ever succeeded.

I hate the long beard fad, even if well kept. I would forgive it if it was for practical purpose such as living in the woods or the artic. Other than that I don't mind shorter well kept or the shade look.

I do like a nicely shaped and trimmed, short beard. Don't like the mountain man look.

Do I like beards? It depends on the rest of the package, that comes with the beard, I think.

Wow, so far no men have chimed in about their own beards? I'm shocked, I tell you. Shocked. Really.

I prefer clean shaven, but a short very carefully trimmed beard can look good. A well maintained beard is a lot of work and many men won't go to that much effort.

I really dislike the mountain man beards that seem so popular in my area. I always suspect that there are bugs and bits of old vegetable soup caught up in there somewhere.

Can look sexy if well-maintained and evenly trimmed, regardless of length. Looks better on lean faces with sharp features and high cheekbones.

Pairs well with short, clean-cut hairstyles; a nice juxtaposition of wild and tame, disorder and order, rough and clean-cut, masculine and feminine.

I am fond of facial hair on men. I do not like the big, bushy beards at all, but a nicely trimmed light beard is quite attractive to me, as well as various amounts of stubble.

It depends on the guy. I prefer no facial hair for the most part, but some men look good with a beard.
