I haven't worn make-up since I was around 17. I don't think I need it. Oh sure maybe it would enhance this or that but I don't feel the need to wear it and no employer should tell a person they need to wear make-up, either.
I say that with the possible exception of working at a make-up counter, etc....
Well, if the venue is a bar or club, you are competing with dozens if not more people for attention. Both men and women have to enhance their look and try to rise above the pool. Of course, if everyone does it, then you're all back on the same level, and you have to up the ante again...leading to ridiculous heels, short skirts, and makeup. For the men it's harder for them to physically peacock beyond wearing say, a suit, so they have to stand out via game and conversational skill.
And yet, those are the ones who are in relationships, who get boyfriends and have families.
Crazy how that works. It's amazing how my 'drama queen' friends are rarely single.
LOL isnt it though? U come to these boards and read how certain women or things they do are looked down on, yet those very women are the ones that get all the attention. Priceless
Fashion and Hollywood have set the standards for "beauty" and most people agree with their taste. Wearing makeup is a worldwide custom and has an ancient roots. However many women have a bad taste and lack of knowledge how to apply makeup and still look naturally.
Agree. Also product. One foundation can look awful, cakey and thick, while another looks natural.
Nothing wrong with makeup when it's applied properly.

It always amazes me when my guy friends complain about their girlfriends/wives and about how melodramatic they are, how much drama they bring into their lives, how they freak out over stupid things, how they boss them around etc etc on and on and yet..they're still with them. They chose to marry them/date them KNOWING all of this stuff.
Of course, low drama women aren't 'exciting' I guess. If it's to easy I suppose it's not worth it.

My guy friends complain about the same thing. I have begun to tell them, "You know you love it or else you wouldn't willingly subject yourself to it!"
I've noticed this too... Like if your doing that at 25
Imagine at 35.... 40.... 50?
