Actually, I think it's almost fetishistic to believe one nationality is more beautiful than others. I have heard similar chauvinism from my in-laws, who dislike the looks of any Mediterranean people and only like the Scandinavian look - or what they percieve it to be - tall, blond, blue eyed. They idolize that appearance.
Pretty is comes in all colors and from all countries. It has to do with bone structure, facial shape and features, not with coloring or height.
If you take a step back, it all almost sounds a bit racist.
What about Brazilian women? I think the Brazilians may top the Italian in number of beautiful women.
Sao Paulo, Brazil is about 50% Italian....interesting fact. I agree, I'm a straight woman but I love how Brazilian women go for the muscular strong legs, and small waist look.

I'm one of those people. I repped your comment but had to get ready to go out/didn't feel like commenting. Some people seem to fixate on certain nationalities...and I agree it can get borderline racist when taken to too far.
An asian friend of mine automatically assumes any white guy who hits on her has an asian fetish...I really don't blame her

I am not racist, but I still have preferences when it comes to what attracts me to certain women.
There are beautiful asian and black women..............yet I have zero attraction to either of these races of women.

men. italian women or any other "exotic tan" type (Brazilian, etc).
