Upton does not watch anything that would challenge his thought process.

Interesting trends. I wonder how long his personal popularity will keep up with some of his polices so poorly received.

hat certainly doesn't mean Americans are confident all around. While Obama himself may be polling well, some of his policies — and the government as a whole — aren't. A recent Rasmussen poll (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/ynews/pl_ynews/storytext/ynews_pl311/31778584/SIG=13vv5le65/*http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics2/60_say_government_has_too_much_power_too_much_mone y - broken link) found that 60% of Americans think the federal government has too much power and too much money. The bank bailouts, which began before Obama was president, didn't fare any better: 59% of voters (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/ynews/pl_ynews/storytext/ynews_pl311/31778584/SIG=14dkmf9ua/*http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/business/federal_bailout/most_americans_say_bailouts_were_bad_idea_politica l_class_disagrees - broken link) say they were a bad idea, while 60% say the Chrysler and GM bailouts were a bad idea. In Gallup's long-running question of who the biggest threat to America is — big government, big business or big labor — big government still leads 55% to 32% to 10%, respectively.

We aren't watching Faux News, it's right wing propaganda after all. Those on the left take pride in thinking for themselves, something that is foreign to your average indoctrinated Faux viewer.

When those on the left are thinking for themselves ... what are they thinking?

I really want to know.

You can thank Upton and the lib gang. They just won't admit it but their hooked. I frankly don't watch much of the news, I prefer to read. However I find Fridays when Billy and Glenn get together to be quite funny.

And we're the ones who think for ourselves. You're brainwashed into loving Obama because of leftwing d-bag Olbermann, while we, the small minority realize that he is an overrated fraud!!!

Beside your intelligent response of "blah, blah, blah, blah, blah" please explain how spending ten trillion dollars is in our best interest.

And why you believe that a Democratic big government is better than a reduction in the size of government.

Please comment on justification for hand over fist spending.

Remember ... a "blah, blah, blah" response won't cut it.

It's a reduction in government regulation that got us where we are. Instead of wealth trickling down, the banks and large corporations became bloated entities that took on ridiculous risk and that are now "too big to fail". We have become slaves to the banks that initiated the housing fiasco.

Because they are too big to fail, without taking down our economy with them, there is no choice, according to the majority of economists, but to prop them up with large sums of money. It's not a solution anyone is comfortable with, but what is a viable alternative? The Republicans have no answers.... Remember, the "budget proposal" from the GOP entitled "The Republican Road To Recovery" was a 19 page document filled with the same ideology that got us to this point and contained NO NUMBERS!
