It's 3% over the $250,000, for pete's sake.

My family income tax could well be raised by that amount.

Not that I want to pay more taxes, believe me I am already pissed about how much we do pay, and wish we paid less, $900 is not going to make or break us.

I wonder how much George has cost each of us?

As much as I hate the idea of my taxes getting raised, I'd be willing to lose more than $900 to ensure that I think the right guy gets the job.

The way they were blowing the "spread the wealth" line out of proportion last night you'd think the "wealth" would amount to more than $900. Puh-leez.

I watched the whole thing on youtube and I didn't think Obama screwed up his answer. I thought he explained it rather well.
About about Capital gain? almost everybody in the 250k have capital gains. Also I dont like the idea of getting my money and giving it to people that dont pay any tax.

That money will go to fund programs Obama wants to initiate...and it will go to social security. Things need to get paid for. The beef over a 3% tax raise is absurd. It was at 39% under Clinton so this is not a new plan. The small businesses that make over $250,000 will pay an additional $900.00 a year...hire a new employee, make your business grow and your $3000.00 incentive will "wash" the $900.00 you paid for your tax increase.

First is 4%, not 3%.
and that is not the end...
And 4% is not 900, is 10k
where did you get the 900??

Thanks! I am curious to know.
Glady

The real problem is everything we bring in, is counted as "pass-through" income. We have very little overhead, so basically everything goes back out as salary to four of us(with a generous cut to Uncle Sam every quarter). With our setup, we have to pay as if one entity made all the revenue. It is a nasty little loophole. Obviously McCains' proposal of dropping it to 25% would make a substantial difference in our take home pay.
We brought in almost 400k in revenue last year (not this year though as we are building inspectors...and the market is not in our favor currently lol)
Current plan we approximately paid $136,000 of that money to taxes. Split that four ways and that is $34,000 a piece we did not get to bring home.
This is just simple math, and we do have deductions that reduce the amount, but it is still a very significant number we pay.
Obama's claim of 98% of small business taking in less than 250k a year is absolutely fraudulent. As Mark Twain said about the types of lies..."Lies, damned lies and statistics".

http://http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/08/12/AR2008081202849.html

The above is from a newspaper that endorses Obama.

Another McSame failed gimmick.
Sam aka Joe the Plumber earns $40K a year John McSame earns $56K a year disability from the government and he’s been collecting it for injuries from the Vietnam War. Maybe John should share a little with Joe?

As a pilot John crashed four airplanes and was shot down in the 5th (one so they say). If a serviceman crashed four deuce-and-a-half trucks ~ he’d be charged with failure to take proper care of government property – pay off part of the costs and maybe spend time in the stockade.

Default Joe the Plumber, more interviews than Saracuda

More coherent too. But just like Saracuda his twisted use of logic doesn't help him "carry the water" for McCain.

Help me figure this rat-ferret out. Is he a plant, a dupe or just a pinhead who wanedered up to the rope line and was immediately in over his head.

Just a pinhead who was in way over his head. It's absolutely pathetic that this guy has given more interviews than Palin.
