Apparently they are OK with this. George Bush and Dick Cheney committed this country to a war by LYING. After finding out about this, what did McCain do? Support the war.
Palin? Where was she and where was her outrage at the president of the US lying to risk the lives of millions, wasting trillions of dollars in the process? Apparently this is OK with her as well.
You Republicans can give the impression that the RNC has "knocked one out of the park", but these pathetic realities that defined the Republican leadership the last 8 years, leadership supported by McCain, does not support your case.
Republican credibility? Annihilated.
After watching this nonsense that was the RNC, I'm convinced that the Obama/Biden ticket has nothing to worry about.
RNC forgot to address the fact that Bush LIED to go to war
RNC forgot Bush entirely! According to news reports Bush was very angry about not being wanted at the convention & Cheney was being given a major snub from his own party.
Than Hillary lied
Joe Biden lied
Edwards lied
Bill Clinton lied shall I provide video???
This is where the right wing half truths come into play. These people voted for a resolution to go to war as a last resort after diplomacy was exhausted. They are on record for saying so after their vote. They put their trust in President Bush to act accordingly, not like some sort of stupid cowboy.
The big lie (after WMD and Saddam/AQ connection) was that Saddam kicked the inspectors out. He did not, Bush did. Bush decided diplomacy had run it's course, despite Saddam cooperating with Blix and went into Iraq. None of those above listed did so, only Bush. This is Bush's war, nobody elses.
Hmm, well the front page of the paper I read commented on how minor a role Bush played in the convention. Something about a 'dimming star'.
Not exactly hitting it out of the park. In fact the convention's been killed in the ratings by hurricane coverage.
