What we need to eliminate or curtail:

The welfare programs. With 54% of all babies born on Medicaid in Illinois there is a serious problem. Let's not forget Healthy Moms and Babies where a huge percentage are Illegals (and where it says immigration status not important).

The unions. Unions over pay in Illinois and are corrupt. My former dirty employer Metra paid uneducated union workers more even if the non union was educated (and usually was). There is something wrong with a mail clerk paid more than a lawyer.

Taxes. We pay too much and it's out of control. Quinn never met a tax increase he didn't like.

So if you like Illinois VOTE REPUBLICAN. I am voting for Bruce Rauner.
The problem with voting Republican is that Pubs make matters WORSE, not better. Republicans hold the lid on taxes, but raise fees. They lower taxes but enable other costs to impact taxpayers in other ways. With Republicans, the following costs are passed on to taxpayers, and are not called "taxes".

1. Economy tax. People suffer more because Republicans don't know how to run an economy. They favor the rich at the expense of everyone else. The rich benefit mightily while everyone else goes to hell.

2. Medical care tax. Medical care goes into crisis mode when a Republican is at the helm. Republicans don't want to spend any money, so granny is thrown over the cliff. If people get sick, Pubs want them to just die so their care doesn't cost anything.

3. Human rights tax. The Republican party is the party of bigots. Racial discrimination is tolerated, perpetuated, and supported. Minorities, especially blacks, can go to hell under the Republican system. Republicans favor the hierarchy that emerged from slavery, which created an underclass and a class of those enjoying an "unearned privilege". Bigots don't belong in office, don't belong at the table, don't belong making decisions for the whole, and certainly don't belong in charge.

4. Deregulation tax. Pubs believe in deregulation a la George Dubya. Practice racial discrimination without oversight. Cut corners in every facet in every category. This means that banks charge more for fees. Interest rates skyrocket. The largest oil spill in history happens because corners are cut. Cheating occurs. Injustice happens. The disparities benefit the rich only. Deregulation would cause the state to bleed to death.

5. Labor tax. Pub says unions are corrupt, but when Pubs are in charge, the executives make excessive profits, while their workers are required to do more, with less, with fewer benefits, and with the threat of being replaced by cheaper foreign labor. Pubs favor profit over quality products, employee loyalty, job security, and favorable employee benefits. Pubs have no trouble displacing qualified Americans with cheaper foreign labor, just so profit is maximized for the privileged few. Sucks.

6. Crime tax. Pubs are ineffective in fighting crime, since they want to cut services to lower taxes. Crime gets worse when Pubs are at the helm. Deregulation encourages ineffective, understaffed, misguided effort in curtailing all crimes.

There's more, but you get the picture. Illinois, as one of the most enlightened states in the country, will remain strongly to the Left. It's not a place that is interested in regressing. Thumbs down on any Republican candidate. They may try to hide their true intentions with a lot of deceptive marketing. This is the Republican way. But they still reek.

Pure comedy gold. Thanks!

Only a Republican who is pro gay rights and pro abortion that appeals to suburban social liberals but are also fiscal conservatives could win in Illinois and the party base wouldn't select someone like that

The problem is voting for R leads to a disaster in the whole county.

An r is the last thing anyone needs.
