You laugh at Rasmussen polling, but in the last 2 presidential elections it was the most accurate. I would post the link, but I doubt you would read it, so I post it straight from Wikipedia.

In the 2004 presidential election, "Rasmussen...beat most of their human competitors in the battleground states, often by large margins," according to Slate magazine.[38] Rasmussen projected the 2004 presidential results within one percentage point of the actual vote totals earned by both George W. Bush and John Kerry.[39]
In 2004, Slate said they “publicly doubted and privately derided Rasmussen” polls because of the methodology. However, after the election, they concluded that Rasmussen’s polls were the most accurate.[38]

According to Politico, "Rasmussen’s final poll of the 2008 general election — showing Obama defeating Arizona Sen. John McCain 52 percent to 46 percent — closely mirrored the election’s outcome."[40] In reference to the 2008 presidential election, a Talking Points Memo article said, "Rasmussen's final polls had Obama ahead 52%-46%, which was nearly identical to Obama's final margin of 53%-46%, and made him one of the most accurate pollsters out there."[41] An initial Nov.5, 2008 Fordham University analysis ranked 23 survey research organizations on the accuracy of their final, national pre-election polls, assuming a 6.15% margin of victory by Obama. Rasmussen Reports and Pew Research Center tied as the most accurate.[42] Obama's actual margin was 7.2%, and a complete analysis published in 2009 by the same author, Costas Panagopoulos, revealed Rasmussen to be tied for 9th most accurate. Democracy Corps, Foxnews/Opinion Dynamic, CNN/Opinion Research, and Ipsos/McClatchy all predicted an accurate seven point spread.

Seriously if you don't have something to contribute then be quiet. Don't spew garbage because you don't know any facts. Its a close election every pundit on either side will tell you the same thing.
If this topic is the most moronic post you have ever seen on CD - then you have not spent a lot of time perusing the forums.

Mitt Romney cannot win. President Obama is going to finish with approximately 330 votes.
Romney is losing in just about every swing state, and he has no chance of winning Ohio.

So what are you guys trying to pull here?

Is this some strange way for you to convince each other to get out the vote by pretending this is close?
It's not close. You closed the gap a little bit when enough people believed that Romney won the first debate.
Even if we pretend that he did win the first debate, VP Biden and President Obama swept the rest of the debate season.

By November 1st we're going to be talking about President Obama opening up a 15 to 20 point lead nationally, and that's when the national polls DO matter, because you won't be winning any swing states other than MAYBE Florida and North Carolina. At that point you might as well just go fishing on November 6th.

What are you trying to pull here?

Excellent post and spot on. This race is not as close as Republicans would have us believe. Deceptive marketing is their game because their ideology can't stand on its own and doesn't fit modern times. They have a candidate who is largely unliked. Romney is a pompous, arrogant, ignorant rich man who doesn't give a damn about half the people in this country. He knows nothing about running an economy, and his party has failed in its emphasis on "trickle-down." Trickle-down simply doesn't work. The man is ignorant on all topic foreign and domestic and hails from the party of Bush. Remember, Republicans told us Bush would make a fine president and that he needed to be reelected so he could "finish the job." He damn near finished off this country. Romney is worse.

Any poll which shows this race being close is bogus. The President is comfortably ahead.

The electoral college overwhelmingly favors the President. Less than a week to go before Pubs everywhere will be dealing with a serious case of the runs from those sour grapes and egg on their faces. It will be a tough time for them since they typically live with their heads in the sand while keeping a foot in the mouth.

Here, let me cheer you up a bit.

Dem Early Vote Lead In Florida Down 70% Over 2008

There's all kinds of spin out there regarding early voters, especially from Team Obama and their allies in the CorruptMedia, but I don’t believe in tea leaves, I believe in numbers. Gallup provided numbers and those numbers (with a huge 3,300 sample) show Romney winning early voters by a margin of 52-47%. And now we have hard numbers out of Florida showing Democrats well behind their early vote lead when compared to this time last year:

Your post and the one you quoted pretty much sum it up. The numbers and the organization of OFA are going to be too much for mittens, his superpacs and his paid forum trollies to overcome. I was running between five OFA offices in NE Ohio today. Lots of smiles after the conference call.

It is too close and there is no way to determine the outcome. I do know this is my first time to vote and while I was in the middle, leaned Romney, the Benghazi attack, refusing increased security and the lie that came after the Benghazi attack solidified my vote to Romney

If you're basing your vote solely on the Benghazi attack, you really should investigate the cuts the GOP house made to the state dept security funding over the last few years. You cannot secure every outpost and presence we have around the world, especially when the small government teabaggers slash funding on securty.

Do you think you know more than the government officials?

It has already been stated that money has absolutely nothing to do with it!
