More wishful thinking and grasping at straws. Romney is going to lose this one if he even lasts past the convention.

Much of the disapproval is people just like me. I don't approve of the job he has been doing, but I am going to vote for him anyway. There is no way I want to bring back the Republicans and the tea party and the evangelicals. I think Obama is better than that alternative no matter how bad is is doing. I still believe in hope and change even if Obama has been a disappointment. One sure thing: there will be no hope and the wrong kind of change if the right wingers like Limbaugh take over the country. I'd rather we tread water till 2016 than drown in a conservative cesspool.

I agree that Romney's campaign is being run awfully. He should be a slam dunk with the jobs numbers, but he just seems to be reacting to Obama, not leading the charge. I hope he steps it up. At this point it's anybodies election.

Republicans are kidding themselves if they think this election is all about the economy.

If it were, guess what? Romney would be ahead.

Another big miscalculation many Republicans are making is that Obama is attacking Romney. Obama is in fact attacking the entire Republican party.

Seeing that Obama is still up nationally, he's leading in the major swing states and Romney is under 40 on Intrade (just for starters) tells me that his strategy thus far is working well.

I agree it's not all about the economy. The Republicans ran into trouble with whole immigration and gay marriage thing. The educated voter does know that while paying the lowest tax percentage (adjusted), the "job creators" aren't creating that many jobs, but the fact that Obama has failed to get the economy moving-- the Republicans should go after that with lazer-like focus. And they just can't seem to do that.
